Richard Rooney MD lives in Seattle, Washington with his wife and their two sons where he works as an orthopaedic spinal surgeon at Seattle Spine Group, his private practice. When he’s not busy with his medical career, Richard loves to spend time with his family. His two sons are involved in a number of sports, so a good portion of Richard’s free time is devoted to helping them practice and cheering them on during competitions and games. Between the two of them, their involved in soccer, lacrosse, basketball, track, and lacrosse, enough sports to make their extracurriculars a year-round activity.
When they aren’t busy with sports, he and his family love to take trips together, camping and hiking. Often, Richard Rooney MD is invited to attend various medical conferences around the country, and when he does, he and his wife like to plan family trips around these conferences. As a result, they’ve gotten to take nice ski vacations and beach trips together as a family while Richard is traveling for work.
